Tekes Waterfall

The Tekes waterfall is located in the Kegen region, 300 kilometers from Almaty. We must be prepared for the fact that most of the way goes off-road, and even in the mountains. Tekes is one of two mountain rivers (the second is Kunges) that form the main waterway of the Semirechye - Ili. Small in size, the waterfall is a funnel seething with cold water, squeezed by stone rocks. Tourists fell in love with the waterfall for the pristine wildness of the natural landscapes leading to it. The way from Almaty passes through the beautiful Bestyubinsk reservoir and the mystical Kolsai lakes - iconic places of the Almaty region.
